Children’s Ministry

While you worship, they grow

Every in-person Sunday, dedicated teachers lead our children in their own Bible class during the service. You can worship and hear the Word with a settled heart, knowing your children are learning about Jesus at their level.

A Sunday for the whole family

Two rooms, one purpose

We intentionally set teachers apart for children every Sunday. It’s not childcare. It’s ministry, so the whole family meets God on the same morning.

In the sanctuary

You worship, undistracted

  • Sing, pray and hear the Word with your whole heart
  • No juggling snacks or whispering “sit still”
  • Leave refreshed, ready to lead your family
In children’s class

They learn, with their teacher

  • A Bible story told at their level
  • A memory verse, worship songs and prayer
  • Activities that make the lesson stick

Then you go home together. Ask them, “What did you learn today?” on the drive home. You’ll be amazed what they remember.

Safe and cared for

Your child’s safety comes first

Handing your child to someone else takes trust. We take that trust seriously.

  • Background-checked teachersEveryone who teaches our children has passed a background check.
  • Check-in and check-outChildren are checked in to class, and checked out only to their parent or guardian.
  • Tell us what mattersLet us know about allergies, health needs or anything that helps your child feel at home.
Our approach

Faith that grows with each child

What a child learns about God early shapes how they see Him for life. So we take children’s Bible teaching seriously, and we make it joyful.

Right for their age

Every lesson is shaped for the age in front of it, so children understand God’s Word at their level and grow into deeper truths as they grow.

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”Luke 2:52 (KJV)

Lived out, not just learned

Each lesson ends with what it means on Monday: at home, at school and with friends. Children learn to trust God, obey Him and love others.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…”James 1:22 (KJV)

Home first, church alongside

Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers of faith. Our teaching supports what you build at home. It never replaces it.

“And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children…”Deuteronomy 6:7 (KJV)

Let their gifts shine

Every child has something God put inside them

Our curriculum makes room for children to discover and express their talents, and to use them to honour God.

The highlight of the year

End-of-year music presentation

Our children take the stage in front of the whole church family to sing, make music and share what they’ve learned. It’s a celebration of God’s faithfulness through the year, and a moment your child (and you) will never forget.

“Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise.”Matthew 21:16 (KJV)

Teach with us

Your Sunday could shape a child’s forever

Many of us came to faith because someone gave their Sunday morning to teach us as children. We’re looking for children’s teachers who are passionate about this mission and love to teach children, so the next generation knows Jesus too.

You don’t need to be a professional teacher. You need a heart for children, a love for God’s Word, and the faithfulness to show up. We’ll provide the curriculum and walk with you as you grow.

Who we’re looking for

  • A living faith in Jesus and a love for His Word
  • A passion for raising children in the love of God
  • Patience, warmth and joy with children
  • Faithfulness: children need people they can count on
  • A willingness to prepare, learn and grow as a teacher
  • Musical, creative or organised? Helpers are welcome too

“Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”Matthew 19:14 (KJV)

And this is just the beginning

A first-class home for children is coming

We’re building our new worship center at 14818 Higgins Road. When the sanctuary is complete, our children’s ministry will grow with it: more space, more classes and more teachers dedicated to children.

For parents & guardians

We’d love to meet your family

You know your child best, and you are their first teacher of faith. We want to stand with you, reinforcing at church what you’re building at home.

What happens to my children during the service?
At our in-person Sunday services, children join a class led by a dedicated teacher while adults worship and hear the Word. Families come back together after the service. If your child would rather stay with you, that’s always fine too.
How do you keep my child safe?
All of our children’s teachers are background-checked, and we use check-in and check-out so children are released only to their parent or guardian. Tell us about any allergies or needs when you check in, or in the form on this page.
What will my child learn?
A Bible story and memory verse taught at their level, worship songs, prayer, and one simple way to live the lesson that week. Through the year they also prepare for our end-of-year music presentation.
What about online Sundays?
On the 3rd Sunday (and any 5th Sunday) we worship together on Zoom, and children worship with their families at home. See service times.
What about teenagers?
Teenagers aged 13–18 have their own ministry. See the Teens Ministry.
