Our story
From a small fellowship to a beacon in San Antonio
Grace Pavilion was founded in 2010 as a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God North America (RCCGNA). We share RCCGNA’s statement of faith and enjoy the support and fellowship of RCCG families across the continent. That same year, our Lead Pastors, Pastor Temitope and Folake Ajagbe, were ordained by RCCG Salvation Center, San Antonio.
From the beginning, the vision was simple and steady: open the Bible faithfully, pray earnestly, worship joyfully and love our neighbours practically. Bible study and prayer gatherings became the backbone of church life, and a diverse congregation gathered from all walks of life, united by faith and committed to the community.
As the church grew, so did its reach. In 2019 we launched Grace Pavilion Community Outreach (GPCO) with a free community health fair. When the pandemic came in 2020, we didn’t stop; we turned it into a drive-thru, and volunteers gave out more than 720 backpacks in under two hours. Since then, our city-wide health fair campaign has touched the lives of over 1,500 families with school supplies, health resources, health assessments and counseling.
Today we worship in person and online, teach children and teens, mentor leaders and entrepreneurs, gather monthly for night prayer vigils and Holy Communion, and have begun building a permanent home on Higgins Road. Our story is still being written, and you’re invited to be part of it.
